Health Declaration and Check In Process for Art & Science Salons

By March 15, 2021No Comments

As Art & Science reopened its four Chicago-based salons following the initial COVID-19 closures, we instituted a number of safety precautions, including a health waiver that (per guidelines set by the city and state) confirmed four questions regarding the health of each customer prior to entering the building.

Using BadJupiter’s Check In feature, unlike most businesses with forms, pens & clipboards, ours was and is a digital waiver that requires a quick QR scan with a mobile phone to collect the required information for COVID.  This ensures that key contact information is organized, available and searchable should we need it – – with no paperwork or effort.  As hoped and promised, it provides a clear view for us of all unique guests at any point in time.

As an early adopter, we are working with the BadJupiter Team to find new ways to use BadJupiter to better understand customer behavior and connect with customers before, during and after visits in ways we could not easily before.

Next up for Art & Science locations – – we will be implementing Wait List capabilities to keep us at and under capacity with text messaging to notify customers when “we are ready for you!”.   In addition, by starting to request the name of each customer’s stylist or colorist at Check In, we can also start requesting customer feedback following their salon experience and credit top talent accordingly.

For salon and service oriented businesses, especially where walk-in business represents a significant source of revenue, BadJupiter provides everything you need to know, manage, and engage your best customers.
